Our Faith

We are Dan and Lauren and we are Mormon. Actually, we are members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. We believe that God still speaks to his children on earth today through a living prophet as He did in the New and Old Testament. Jesus Christ directs his church here on earth and leads us by calling a prophet today.

In the year 1820, God the Father and Jesus Christ appeared to Joseph Smith and resorted their church through him. The restoration in the church of Jesus Christ in these later days has meant wonderful blessings to us.

Jesus is the Christ

We know that Jesus is the Christ and that He died so our sins can be forgiven. He was the "great and last sacrifice" Alma 34:10 and therefore the "author of our salvation" Hebrews 5:9. Not only did he suffer for our sins, but He knows each of us by name and our daily trials and challenges. We know that through these sufferings, we can become one with Him and one day return to our Heavenly Father.

Temple/Sealing Power

Joseph Smith also received the authority to seal couples for time and all eternity. A temple sealing allows marriages to endure beyond the grave.  We know that couples can be united through holy ordinances in the Lord's temple and can live together forever.

Families together forever

Through the restoration of the gospel of Jesus Christ we know that not only can couples be together forever, but also the entire family. Families are central in God's plan. "God has established families to bring happiness to his children, allow them to learn correct principles in a loving atmosphere, and prepare them for eternal life" (Preach My Gospel, 32). As families work and grow together in a loving atmosphere, they can one day return to their Heavenly Father through the blessing of the temple.
